Survey Committee Report - Summer 2010

Results of the 2009 Membership Satisfaction Survey

We are pleased to report that 85 percent of survey respondents were either very satisfied or satisfied when asked to rate their overall satisfaction with ALGA. While this is slightly down from the 90 percent rate reported in the 2007 survey, it remains a successful indicator.

The 2010 Conference planning committee has almost completed its work. If you can't already tell... we are very excited about the 2010 ALGA annual conference and look forward to seeing you shortly in San Antonio, May 17-18th. The submission deadline for all nominations closed on January 31, 2010. We received quite a number of strong nominations for the committee to review. This display of interest and involvement is one of many factors that makes ALGA such a great organization! By this time, the Nominating Committee, consisting of Beth Breier, LaVonne Griffin-Valade, Ruth Merino, Kathy Seay, and Mike Taylor, will have met, deliberated, and prepared a recommended slate of officers and board members. The recommended slate of officers for 2011 ALGA Board will be presented to the membership at the Annual Business Meeting to be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at the annual conference in San Antonio, TX.

Thank you to everyone who responded to our call for nominations.
